People believe what they want to believe, especially if they have paid big money for it !
I have spoken to way too many people who simply will not believe that they have been scammed, even when you can prove to them that what they have is not authentic. They have paid out good money and the seller has told them its authentic, given them a very plausible back story, and provided a COA as well, but their mind is refusing to accept the truth. I have seen collectors like this with tens of thousands of £’s worth of fakes in their collections, eventually of course the penny does drop when they find out the truth, but by then its too late!
